At just 20 years old, New Jersey’s Mike Rossi has an impressive résumé of NorAm success. He had seven top-10 NorAm results, including two podiums, under his belt coming into the 2011 season. He then found a new gear and captured the 2011 overall title with his first two wins and three other podiums. Then he proved he could hang with the World Cup crowd by winning a bronze medal at U.S. Championships.

The 2012 season brought Rossi yet another opportunity to expand on his portfolio. He started by raking in six NorAm podiums and two wins, and he then went on to snatch a silver medal at the U.S. Championships.

Despite his past success, the 2013 season was Rossi’s breakout year. The moment came at beloved Deer Valley, where he landed a third place finish, the first World Cup podium of his young career. Rossi finished the season with five top-15 results. It was no surprise that 2014 was just as successful, as Rossi earned three top-ten finishes, including a sixth place in Lake Placid and then a bronze at U.S. Championships.

Rossi learned to ski when he was four, but never skied that much until he was recruited for aerials. “I tried a water ramp camp in Park City and ended up being pretty good at the sport,” he says. “I trained that summer for a few days and the next summer I moved to Park City to continue the sport. I've been on my way ever since.”

Rossi’s off snow hobbies include writing music, recording songs and playing guitar.
