Freestyle coach clinicsCoaches clinics are offered for moguls and aerials.  The Level 100 course for both moguls and aerials is now offered entirely on-line.

Level 100 Moguls

The Level 100 moguls course is conducted on-line. It has been designed to provide the entry level moguls coach with the fundamental skiing and coaching skills and tools to effectively teach junior skiers. The skiing fundamentals are broken down into four key areas: stance and posture, turning, absorption and extension, and jumping. Principles of long-term athlete development for moguls skiing are covered under the framework of the Freestyle Training System, including critical periods of development related to age and maturity. The coach will also learn about the art of coaching moguls skiing, including coaching strategies, planning, communication and athlete feedback.

Participants will receive the Level 100 Freestyle Moguls Fundamentals Coaching Manual (electronically) to review and use to assist in completing the Level 100 moguls on-line exam.

Level 200 Moguls

The Level 200 moguls clinic is a 2-day clinic with on-snow and classroom components. It is designed for the part-time and full-time coach working with freestyle skiers preparing for mogul competition. The curriculum builds on the Level 100 content with more advanced skiing fundamentals, tactics, physical conditioning, nutrition, and more specific training plans for the competitive club athlete. Participants will work with experienced mogul coaches on-snow reviewing mogul skiing skills and progressions to improve in each of the fundamental areas. Classroom discussion will focus on the supporting areas off-snow that are essential for the development of a competitve moguls skier.
