Additional Info

A former alpine racer out of Greek Peak Mountain Resort, Si Ning Chan trained as a level 9 gymnast at Aero Gymnastics Academy, located in central New York. She started both of the sports at the age of 4. Even at the beginning, the two sports were always getting in the way of each other. Chan would often have to skip a ski race for a gymnastics competition, and vice versa.

In the summer of 2012, she decided to combine her abilities from both of these sports and attended the Talent ID camp in Lake Placid, NY and try out for aerial skiing. Chan immediately fell in love with it! Who knew that the two things that used to conflict the most in her life would come together so perfectly. After being selected to join the Elite Aerial Development Program and spending her summers training at Lake Placid, Chan was promoted to the U.S. Ski Team where she has competed on the NorAm tour and earned World Cup starts.

2015 was a strong season for Chan, who posted her highest World Cup finish, a fifth place, in Lake Placid. She also had six top-10 finishes on the NorAm circuit.

Chan's first time on snow was when she was four years old at Greek Peak Mountain Resort in NY. She joined the resort’s alpine racing club in 2003 when Ishewas 7 years old and started competing shortly after. In 2012, Chan switched over to aerials at the age of 16 and joined the EADP.

When she's not skiing, Chan love being outdoors. Especially during the summer, she loves being outside just to enjoy the sun. You can usually find her swimming, biking, kayaking, or just laying outside and reading a book.
