BIOGRAPHY:
As the youngest of four, Outtrim had plenty of family to chase down the slopes of Mount Snow. When the freestyle program got off the ground at the Vermont resort, she and a brother signed up. After a breakthrough season in 2009 as she hit the full World Cup tour, where she kept charging. In 2010, she grabbed her first World Cup podium, a victory no less, at the last competition of the season in Sierra Nevada, Spain before earning two second place finishes in both duals and singles moguls at U.S. Championships. Last season she again finished ranked ninth overall in the World Cup standings and took her first U.S. title with a win in the duals competition.

ELIZA SAYS:
The 2011 season was not great, but certainly good. Having spent my second season on the full World Cup tour, I found a lot more consistency in the competition season.  Although having been close a few times, I never made it on the podium, which is why I only dub the season as "good".  However, I was also very excited to have thrown my first D-Spins in competition.  Throwing my first D-Spin in competition on the top air in Lake Placid was one of my biggest highlights.  The rest of the run was less than subpar but it was a great feeling to stick that trick on the top air.  Winning the Dual National Championship title was another highlight, because, lets face it, it just feels good to win, especially since it was my first U.S. Championship win. One of my highest goals is to win the World Cup Overall and I would take that over a World Championship title any day of the week. Of course, the Olympics is a different thing when it comes to that.  I hope to be on the podium next season, considering I've only been on a World Cup podium once in my career.  Most of all, I want to be on the podium multiple times, not just have one glory day.

FIRST TRACKS:
Growing up in Hamden, Conn., Outtrim and the family skied often, usually at Mount Snow in Vermont; when a freestyle program was started, she was on the first team. "There were eight or 10 of us, and we'd ski Waterville Valley, Sunday River, sometimes at Killington. It was fun," she says. She enrolled at Lowell Whitman School in Steamboat and worked through the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club's heralded program. Outtrim kept punching her way up through the NorAms, and when she tied for second in NorAm moguls standings in 2005, she earned a ticket to the U.S. Ski Team.

OFF THE SNOW:
Having just graduated from college Outtrim is happily taking a break from the education side. She'll be coaching in Mt. Hood in July, as she's done for the last seven summers.  She'll be focusing on training in the gym as well as on the water ramps, and hopefully playing a lot of tennis and riding her road bike.
