BIOGRAPHY:
Multi-talented Dylan Ferguson is spearheading the next wave of American aerialists, using hiking to strengthen his legs and improve technique. The goal is to move beyond a Junior World Championships silver medal with success on the World Cup...and beyond. He’s been doing just that that during his first two seasons on the World Cup tour with two top-10 results in each season. He also qualified for an Olympic berth in 2010. Unfortunately, a lot of bad luck and a little appendicitis kept Ferguson from competing in Vancouver, but just weeks later he was healed up enough to capture a second-place finish at the 2010 U.S. Championships. Last year he again proved to be a “big show” performer, winning his first career U.S. Championship title.

DYLAN SAYS:
I qualified for the 2010 Olympics last season. A few days before opening ceremonies I got appendicitis and was unable to compete. So my motivation to compete well this season is very high. I want to show people that me missing the Olympics was a huge bummer and that I had a very good chance of doing well. Look out for me, big things are soon to come.

FIRST TRACKS:
Ferguson started skiing at three and came under Waterville Valley guru Nick Preston's sway when he was eight; Preston had him doing aerials at 10. He has skied moguls and halfpipe in addition to his strength in aerials. Ferguson made the U.S. Ski Team midway through the 2007 season after strong early-season results.

OFF THE SNOW:
Dylan enjoys skateboarding a lot in the summer time. He also enjoys surfing and skim boarding as much as possible when he can get to the beach. He also likes to make his own clothes.
